Letters To The Editor
Dear Editor,
Once again vandalism has struck. In the early hours of July 4, a person or
persons, decided to invite themselves into our backyard and take my solar
pagoda lights.
They left behind the remains of a lantern they had removed from the
neighbours down the street.
While tracking down the remains of my lantern I followed their path into the
park only to discover several yards had received the same treatment as our
yard.
To those that find it necessary to entertain themselves with vandalism,
THANK YOU so much, but perhaps you could find something more constructive to
do with your time.
In the meantime I would appreciate my solar component of my lanterns being
returned.

The Molmac and Me.
Taxpayers, including myself , should not be liable for any further costs of
the river erosion problems adjacent to the Molmac Subdivision. The taxpayers
have already shelved out for a $35,000.00 study and an engineering design
for an additional $35,000.00. Now collecting dust in the Planning
Department.
Furthermore, in 1984 Alberta Environment did a study for the Molesky family
and concluded that the home had to be moved or the bank repaired. A grant
covering 65% of the costs was offered and still is for the any one of the
residents involved.
However, the Planner, John Rusling has made it clear to Alberta Environment
that he feels the twelve residents, not affected by the rivers behavior,
should also participate in the estimated one million dollar project that
would impose a tax levy of over $4,000.00 per year for twenty years on each
property.
Farmers endure many hardships including hail, drought and MAD cow. They
never expect their neighbors to bail them out of their disruptive disasters.
Why do the transplanted property owners expect neighbors or County taxpayers
to pay for their problems when funds are available from the Province? Enough
is enough!
Last February the Reeve threatened a defamation suit against the Executive
of the Tax Payers Assoc. for comments regarding "friends of the county"
I
made in a letter to the local newspapers. The Council vetoed his proposal
because it would cause too much negative exposure.
The Officials of the County are being challenged for partisanship activity
because the associations executive can not represent the taxpayers if we
ignore events that may be detrimental to the well being of the taxpayers in
this County.
The executive is dedicated to this project. While I wait out the negative
exposure the river problem has put on my property I will exert my energy
towards exposing some interesting situations that interfere with good
governance in this County. Stay tuned!
Finally, the Gulbe vs. MVC hearing has been delayed to Aug. 18th. Something
to do with additional evidence?
