SALMOND - 1973 - 2004 - Tammy Lei Salmond, beloved daughter of Ken and
Bonnie, sister of Terri (James) and aunt of Caitland and Blayze, passed away
suddenly at the Foothills Medical Centre on Monday, May 24, 2004 at the age
of 31.
Tammy was predeceased by her Nana Eleanor on February 13, 2004.
Tammy will be missed and remembered by many relatives, friends and
co-workers. Tammy made many friends through her travels, but there are a
few that were very special from her time in school until now - Hallie, Lisa,
Lori, Tina and Cherie. We will all miss Tammy’s smile and her sense of
humor.
The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Boiteau and his staff in the ICU for
the care they gave Tammy and her family.
A celebration of Tammy’s life was held on Friday, May 28, 2004 at 2:00 pm at
the Didsbury Memorial Complex (1702 - 21 Avenue, Didsbury, Alberta). If
friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the H.O.P.E. Program at
the Foothills Medical Centre (1403 - 29 Street NW, Calgary, Alberta, T2N

WATKINS - Freeman "Free" James Watkins, beloved husband to Mrs. Ida Watkins
of Chestermere, passed away as the result of an ATV accident in McLean
Creek, AB. on May 23, 2004 at the age of 42 years.
Freeman will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Ida, and his boys: Bradley,
Shane and Chad. He will also be dearly mised by: his parents, Allan and
Tryphena; six brothers, four sisters; as well as numerous nieces, nephews,
relatives and friends. Free was best known for his devotion to his wife and
boys. He was a fun loving guy who lived life to it's fullest.
Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home on
Thursday, May 27, 2004 at 1:00 p.m.

McLEOD - Kathleen "Kitty" Stirling McLeod (nee: Hopkins) of Airdrie, AB,
passed away very peacefully at the Bethany Care Centre in Airdrie on June
14, 2004, at the age of 94 years. Kitty will be lovingly remembered by: her
children, Darlene (Bob) Forsberg of Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin, Shirley (Lee)
Bonnett of White Rock, BC, Erla (George) Krivoblocki of Calgary and Stirling
(Donna) McLeod of Olds; her grandchildren, Jane (Mike) Torok, Jim Forsberg,
Ken Forsberg, Karen (Scott) Pedersen, John Bonnett, Julia (Kico)
Gonzales-Risso, Scott (Alanna) McLeod, Tara (John) Yagos and Chad McLeod;
eleven great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Helen McLeod. She was
predeceased by her husband Earl and one brother.
Kitty and Earl farmed in the Glenhurst District near Bounty, SK until 1968,
when they moved to Victoria, BC and resided there for 25 years. In 1992,
they moved to Olds, AB where they lived for three years until entering the
Bethany Care Centre in Airdrie. Kitty loved to spend time with her family
and friends. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, lawn bowling and was an active
volunteer in her community activities. The family would like to express
their gratitude to the doctors and staff at the Bethany Care Centre in
Airdrie, for their loving care and support for Kitty. Funeral Services were
held in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home on Saturday, June 19, 2004
at 3:30 p.m. Graveside Services followed in the Heritage Garden, Mountain
View Memorial Gardens. If so desired, a memorial tribute in Kitty's name may

Memorial Service
HAWKINS - Thomas Earle Clark Hawkins
April 9, 1947 - June 29, 2004
Thomas Earle Clark Hawkins (Tom) of Bowden, Alberta passed away peacefully
in his home after a lengthy struggle with lung disease.
Tom is survived by Susan, his loving wife of 30 years; his daughter Jill, of
Red Deer, his parents, May and John Root of L.A., special Aunt Anne and
Uncle Charlie, many other aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and neighbors.
Tom was predeceased by his son Rhyan in July, 2001.
Funeral services will be held at the Bowden Lions Community Hall at 11:00
a.m. on Friday, July 2nd.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Lung Association, or Stars Air
Ambulance.
