Obituary
MORCK - Inga Morck (nee Kromand).
Inga Morck was born October 21, 1929 in Olds Alberta, the daughter of Karl
and Hilda Kromand.
She attended school in Olds, Business College in Calgary and the Banff
School of Fine Arts.
Inga married Walter Morck in 1955 and they spent their entire years raising
their family together in Olds.
Inga worked many years as the computer operator for the parts department at
Greenline Equipment in Olds and was well known to many locals through her
employment; she was a charter member of the Thursday Afternoon Goof-off
Craft Club; she enjoyed leatherworking and for many years had a booth at the
Hainstock hobby fair; she was active in the Olds United Church for many
years instructing Sunday School and with the choir; she was a well know
soloist in the community and spent many hours singing with her friends for
patients at the Olds Hospital and Extended Care Centre.
Inga is predeceased by her father Karl Kromand (1965), her mother Hilda
Kromand (1988), and her husband Walter Morck (2001).
Inga is survived by her only brother Ben Kromand (Karen) of Calgary Alberta,
her children Randall Morck (Fyfe) of Edmonton Alberta, Douglas Morck (Barb)
and their children Jamie, Karl, Darcee, Alysha and Ryan of Airdrie Alberta,
Adrienne Lisan (Ron) and their children Naomi and Elianna of Solon Ohio and
Gordon Morck (Hope) of Strathmore Alberta; sisters-in-law Marion Morck of
Innisfail, Thora Kemtrup (Hank) of Spruce View, Arla Hill of Dickson, Ella
Rose (Robert) of Calgary, and Florence Morck of Calgary and numerous nieces
and nephews from the Morck and Kromand clans and cousins in Denmark.
Inga's family thanks very good neighbours Ken and Natalie Gillrie,
contractors extrordinaire Tammie and Steve Morck, and all the friends in the
Olds community who enabled Inga to stay comfortably in her home for her last
few years, just where she wanted most to be.
Inga will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and the patients and staff
of the Olds Hospital Dialysis Clinic where Inga spent much of her time over
the last few years.
A memorial service will be held in the Olds United Church at 1:00 PM on
Thursday March 3rd, 2005 with Pastor David Morck and Reverend Dong Chun Seo
officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Renal Dialysis Unit of the
Olds Hospital, the Canadian Diabetes Association, or the charity of your
choice.
As a tribute to Inga Morck, a tree will be planted in the Heartland Tree
Memorial Park, Olds. Heartland Funeral Services, Olds entrusted with

BURK, Ruth -
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Ruth Burk on Saturday,
March 12th, 2005. Ruth passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Regional
Hospital at the young age of 56 years. Ruth was born January 24th, 1949 in
Olds, the third child of Jake and Esther Driol. She resided in Olds until
2002 when she moved to Red Deer where she resided until her death.
Ruth was predeceased by her parents. Ruth is survived by her children,
daughter Debra Rowland (Bart) and their children Shawn and Haley of Sylvan
Lake, son Darcy Burk (Tracy) and their children Brook and Tyson of Sundre.
Ruth is also survived by her sisters Georgina Chilcott (Bruce) and family of
Calgary, Barbara Wilton (Willard) of Surrey, BC and her brother, Ron Driol
(Teri) and family of Abbotsford, B.C., and her very special friend Ray
Ponto, of Olds.
Memorial Services were held at the Olds Legion on March 15th, 2005.
Internment will be held on a later date at the Olds Cemetery where Ruth will
be laid to rest with her mother, Esther.
Donations in Ruth’s memory can be made to the Charity of your choice. The
family would like to extend its deepest appreciation to the staff on Unit 33
and Dr. Parrington at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.
