RICHEY - Daisy Ellen Richey passed away at the Olds Hospital on Friday,
July 15, 2005 at the age of 98 years.
She was born on the 10th of December 1906 at Taunton, Somerset, England.
Daisy was well known in Olds and area for her yard and gardening skills at
4601 - 48th Avenue. Over the years, while residing there, she won many
awards from the town of Olds, the Olds Chamber of Commerce and the Olds
Agricultural Society for the nicest yard in town. She was a long time member
of St. John’s Anglican Church and held many positions within the church. She
will be honored and greatly missed by all of her family.
Daisy leaves behind seven children and their spouses Edith Bolt of Olds,
Irene Young of Edmonton, Kenneth (Daphne) Richey of Stoney Plain, John
(Lucille) Richey of Olds, Doris (Robert) Stevens of Ft. Saskatchewan,
Margaret Betton of Olds and Alan (Glady) Richey of Ft. Saskatchewan, 31
grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren and sixteen great great grandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother Edward (Florence) Keith of Banff and one
sister May Hamilton of Olds. She was predeceased by her husband Dick Richey
in January 1969; two sons Edward in 1936 and Gerald in May 1939; one
daughter Eunice Breen in September 1995; two grandchildren Betty Jean Empey
in May 1969 and Marilyn Mesiatcwsky in August 2002.
Memorial tributes in Daisy’s honor may be made directly to St. John’s
Anglican Church or to the Olds Hospital, Acute Care. Funeral Services will
be held at St. John?s Anglican Church, Olds on Wednesday, July 20, 2005 at
1:30 p.m. with Reverend Edith Sandowsky officiating. Interment to follow at

BUDD - Albert (Bert) Grenley 1919 - 2005
It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our loving husband,
father and grandfather.
Born on July 31, 1919 in Glenboro, Manitoba to Hannah and Joseph Budd. Bert
was the youngest of five children.
Bert, a WWII veteran, first came to Alberta with his great friend Wally
Campbell as a member of a threshing crew. He stayed in Alberta and married
Gert in 1950. They settled on a farm north of Reed Ranch and raised their
family there.
His memory will always be cherished by his family, wife Gertrude (Gert); son
Wesley (Carol); daughter Wanda (David Okamura); daughter Anita; and
grandchildren Gregory (Alysia) and Elizabeth (Tyson). Bert is also survived
by his sister Betty Gudnason of Baldur, Manitoba as well as brothers and
sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and their families.
He was predeceased by his parents, brothers Reg and Milt and sister Grace.
Bert will be lovingly remembered by family and friends. Funeral services
will be held at Wimborne Community Centre, Friday, July 22 at 1:00 p.m.
Interment to follow at Mayton Community Cemetery.
